Breeding happiness, one dog at a time

Every litter begins long before puppies are born. Months—sometimes years—of planning go into each carefully considered pairing.

MEET OUR PUPPIES

NOT MARKETING. TRUTH.

Health and temperament matter. So does something less measurable.

Every decision begins with one hope: that each puppy becomes someone's once-in-a-lifetime dog. That hope shapes our health testing, careful pairings, early learning program and the lifetime support we offer every family.

OUR APPROACH

WHAT IS TRUE HERE

A small program, considered deeply.

ALWAYS

Family first

Every dog lives as part of a family—not in a kennel system.

BEFORE BREEDING

Evidence, before assumptions

Science-based health testing and proven temperament testing informs every planned pairing.

FROM DAY THREE

Early Learning

Age-appropriate early learning experiences help each puppy develop confidence, resilience and curiosity about the world around them.

FOR A LIFETIME

Honest support

Questions are always welcome, long after your puppy has settled into their new home.

Temperament isn't an afterthought. It is part of the plan.

MEET THE HUMAN

Hi, I'm Josie

Breeder, lifelong learner, disability advocate—and the person answering your late-night puppy questions.

My background in disability and early intervention taught me that the smallest things often make the biggest difference. That understanding shapes the way I choose, raise and match every Darling puppy. Darling is deliberately small so I can know each dog and family properly.

PLANNED WITH PURPOSE

The right puppy is not simply the first available.

We take the time to get to know your family, carefully observe each puppy as they grow, and thoughtfully match personalities, lifestyles and future goals.

THE PUPPY CURRICULUM

Confidence is grown,
not rushed.

Puppies are gently introduced to new textures, sounds, people and simple challenges at developmentally appropriate times. The goal is not to make a puppy bombproof. It is to help them recover, think and trust.
