Darling

Australian Labradoodles
Why Darling? · Not marketing. Truth.
Nine things that are
simply true here.
Trust should never be expected. It should be earned through openness, consistency and the way our dogs are cared for every day. These are the commitments behind every Darling litter—and, at the end, the things we won't promise you.
01
Family first
Every Darling family can reach me for the lifetime of their dog. Whether it's training, health questions or simply sharing news, I'm here. And if circumstances ever change, every Darling dog always has a home with me for the life of their dog— Always.
04
Early neurological training
From day three, puppies receive age-appropriate ENS—brief, gentle stimulation shown to support stress recovery and resilience for life.
07
Small-scale breeding
A few litters a year, planned long in advance. Small enough that every puppy is individually known before they're matched to a family.
02
Ethical breeding
Health and temperament decide every pairing—never colour trends or demand. Mothers are limited in how often they whelp, and every dog retires to a couch, not a pen.
05
Transparency
Health results, contracts, pricing and the reasoning behind a pairing—just ask. I'm happy to share them. Questions are a sign you're taking this seriously, and I welcome them.
08
Every dog lives as family
Our adults live with us or with guardian families as cherished pets. Puppies are raised in the living room, not a shed. About guardianship →
03
Disability background
I live with disability, so I understand assistance and therapy partnerships from the handler's side. That perspective informs breeding choices and honest matching advice.
06
Science-based health testing
DNA panels, hip and elbow scoring, and eye examinations before any dog is bred. Evidence first, hope second. See the full testing list →
09
Therapy temperament focus
We select and raise for steadiness, recovery and human connection—the qualities therapy and assistance work demand, and qualities that benefit therapy dogs, assistance dogs and beloved family companions alike.
THE HONEST PART
What we won't promise.
Any breeder can make promises. We'd rather earn your trust by being honest about what we can—and can't—guarantee. Here's where honesty matters more than a sale.
What we can promise is that every decision we make will be guided by the wellbeing of our dogs and the long-term happiness of the families who welcome them home.
A guaranteed allergy-friendly dog
Labradoodle coats are typically low-shedding, and many allergy families do beautifully with them—but no honest breeder can guarantee zero reaction. We'll help you test time with our dogs before committing.
An exact colour, coat type or adult size
Genetics deals the cards. We match on temperament first, and we'd rather you wait for the right puppy than take the right-coloured one.
A puppy on your timeline
Small-scale breeding means waiting is normal. We'll always be straight with you about timing rather than rushing a litter to meet demand.
A finished therapy dog
We breed and raise for therapy potential; the working partnership is built by training after homecoming. We'll connect you with trainers we trust.
